What
happened when Flat Stanley arrived in our mail box?
It
was Saturday morning and I said, “I'll get the mail.” So I rushed
out the door and I slammed it closed. I said, “what, there is lots
of mail.” I went back in through the door and slammed it again.
“Mum,”
I said, “there is lots of mail.”
“OK,”
said Mum, “we will open it. You open the brown one and I will open
the rest.” “OK,” I said.
When
I opened it, there was Stanley. I asked mum, “Did you order a flat
piece of paper shaped like a man?”
Mum
said, “No, but we must have the wrong mail. Check the street
name.”
“OK,” I said. But no, it was the same as our street. The paper man said, “Hi.”

“What,
you can talk?” I said.
“Yes,”
he replied.
I asked if he wanted to go to the zoo. Stanley said yes, so we went to the zoo. After the zoo we got ice creams from McDonalds for lunch.

It
is a bright sunny morning and I knew my cousin is here, Flat Stanley.
I went out to get him from the mail box. This I the first time
Stanley ever came to Auckland. He came in a humungous envelope with
flowers all over it. I got Stanley out and showed him around the
house. He liked it very much. I asked mum if I could take him into
Auckland city and show him around and mum said yes. We went on the
bus into the city. The first place I took him to was the Town Hall, a
very old building that was made before 1996. The next place we went
to was Kelly Tarltons which is an aquarium. Stanley's favourite thing
to do over there was diving with the sharks.

One
bright sunny morning my mum said to get the mail. There was one
shiny gold envelope that said to Master Caleb. The envelope was
moving, I was so scared. I yelled out, “YIKES!” and jumped out
of my socks and hud under my sheet. I opened the envelope and it was
my friend Stanley and he was staying for the day.
After
a good fright we went to the zoo. First we saw the spectacular spider
monkey. When we say the spider monkey he told me that he was scared.
Eventually we had to leave.
I took him to the arcade but everything was out of order. So I took him for lunch but everything was sold out. Just when Stanley and I thought this day couldn't get better we came across my dad's work. My dad was expecting us. We got to ride on the fire truck. Stanley told me that today was his best day.

I
made Stanley a green envelope to travel back in. My family and I were
sad when Stanley left.

On
the first morning, one summer day, I told my mum and dad that I was
going to get the mail. After I got the mail I ran inside and opened
the humungous envelope which said 'Stanley' on it. Then a boy which
was a foot wide and four feet tall popped out of the envelope. I was
so surprised that I jumped so high I nearly banged my head on the
roof. Then at noon I took Flat Stanley to all kinds of places such
as the Sky tower, Zoo, Butterfly Creek, Motat, Maise maze, the
Viaduct and Rainbows End. Flat Stanley had heaps of fun, but in the
maze Stanley had trouble getting to the end. Then at night we had
dinner with Stanley.

It
was 6:00 and I was still wishing I could have a secret friend. One
and a half hours later I was snoozing quietly in my soft bed when
DING, LING, LING! My clock exploded with noise. I got up in my
pyjamas and walked unsteadily to the front door. I checked the mail
and found one for myself. I opened it in my bedroom and pop went a
small flat head. I nearly dropped my eyeballs when a flat small
person came out and hopped up on my bed. “Hi, I am Stanley,” it
said. I gave him a welcome and we got along with each other. We
decided not to tell the parents. It was Monday and I'm going to the
Botanic gardens. We live in a hotel and the parents were going to
drop me off at the botanic gardens. We get to stay there for an hour
and meet my parents outside the door. We drove there and Stanley was
hiding in my pocket. We say fruits and blossoms. It was lovely. We
drove back and I posted him back to USA. I had a fun time.

One
sunny day I woke up and went down stairs and said “I'm going to get
the mail.” I opened the mail. It was Flat Stanley. I took him to
the pool, the city and school. He had a lot of fun. We jumped on the
jumpiest trampoline. We flew kites. He was my kite because he was
flat. He is cool and funny. He makes me laugh. I put him in my
envelope and he went back to the USA.
