As a class we discussed the question: What makes an excellent learning environment? We came up with lots of ideas from looking after our environment to leaders, from working to our potential to focusing on our learning. This picture is all the words that we came up with.

Dear Miss Thomas

My name is Sakada I am 8 ½ years old. My birthday is on the 11^th of May.

After school at 5 o'clock, my dad and I go to karate on Wednesday and Monday but on Saturday I go at 10 o'clock. Some times my dad and I ride the bikes.

I have one sister and no brothers. I don't now how to spell her name yet but soon I will. She is about one and a half weeks old and I like her so much.

I am very lucky because my mum and dad buy me a lot of teddy bears. At the moment I have like about ten or more I did not count them.

Dear Learning Zone 13

Hi, my name is Olivia and I am 8 years old. My birthday is on December the 2nd. I live with my mum and dad and my brother Jack and my sister Charlotte.

I like apples, banana, kiwifruit, puppies and kittens. I do not like watermellon, pancakes and carrot cake. And my favorite movie is smurfs.

I am very lucky because my nana and poppa get me stuff like make up and lots of other things especially take lots of good care of us.

My name is Kush and I have a dog named Joe. I love vegetables especially broccoli. I love fruits. My favorite fruit is mango. Chicken wings are my favorite food.

I wake up at 4 o'clock mostly. In the morning I'll brush my teeth, have breakfast, have a shower get dressed, then go to school.

Dear Miss Thomas

My name is Kaitlyn and I am 8 years old. My Birthday on November the 6^th. I am half Fijian. I live with my mum, dad, brother and my dog. My dog name is Ronaldo. On his birthday we gave him a cake and he liked it. My dog likes what ever we eat.

I have 5 best friends. They are Isabella, Dorothy, Olivia, Brooklyn and Piper. I like walking with my dog. I had a cat before it died by 2 dogs. It was sad. I like apples and I like going shopping.

Day One

Learning Zone 13

We had lots of fun on our first day. We learnt heaps about our classmates. Miss Thomas taught us the Name game. When we first played it, it took us over 40 seconds to get into alphabetical order. By the end of the session we could get into order in 5 seconds. At the end of the day we challenged ourselves again and we bet it by 2 seconds.  We were so excited with our effort.
